Empowering Women. Reviving Tradition. Weaving Futures.

Long before plastic and packaging, Filipinos wove beauty and function straight from nature. Using palm leaves—like coconut and buli—our ancestors crafted toys, baskets, ornaments, and everyday essentials. This ancestral art form is called puni.

Today, Punique gives puni a bold new life.

We transform this heritage craft into modern jewelry and accessories, keeping tradition alive while celebrating Filipino artistry in a fresh, wearable form.

We work with a community of women artisans in Malolos, Bulacan, training and supporting them in the art of puni weaving. Every piece is handcrafted from natural materials and thoughtfully designed to reflect the richness of Filipino culture.

By modernizing puni, we create:

  • Sustainable income for women and their families
  • A renewed appreciation for Philippine craftsmanship
  • A future where culture becomes a source of empowerment

Every Punique piece tells a story—and helps weave a stronger, more beautiful one for our communities.

“I started Punique with my mother-in-law—not just to preserve a dying art, but to prove that our traditions still have a place in the modern world.

The art of puni has been passed down through generations of Filipino women. With every weave, there’s history, skill, and soul. But more than that, there’s potential—potential to empower, to provide, and to uplift entire communities.

This is what drives us at Punique: turning culture into opportunity. We’re not just reviving puni—we’re building futures through it.”
