Support in the Catholic Faith: Holy Week Exhibit Featuring Punique Palaspas
“Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord.” – Luke 19:38
Blessed Palm Sunday to all! In honor of this sacred Catholic tradition, Team Punique is proud to present a specially crafted “palaspas” made from finely woven buli leaves. Handwoven with devotion by our talented puni weavers, and brought to life through the creative vision of our senior designer, Henry De Guzman, this piece is a testament to the enduring beauty of our faith and cultural artistry.
This unique artwork not only serves as a symbol of faith but also as a tribute to traditional craftsmanship that we aim to pass on to future generations. It is currently showcased at the Barasoain Museum in Malolos, Bulacan, as part of the “Kristo” Exhibit, where it will be on display until April 23, 2023.
We invite you to visit and experience this special piece of art, which reflects the spirit of the Lenten season. May this Holy Week be filled with deeper reflection, renewed faith, and a stronger connection to our rich heritage.
